English Tuition Centre for Secondary 1

In the first year of secondary education your child will have to go through a lot of reading and writing tasks. Your child will be exposed to new concepts English such as writing composition, reading unseen passages, answering to the questions that follow. Our English Tuition Centre is for secondary class one students and will aim at building their basics strong.

About the course: This English tuition course will teach students the following mentioned topics-

- Students will be exposed to new format of editing that requires identifying and correcting grammatical errors.
- Students will be taught topics such as global issues and social trends.
- Students will be trained how to build and enhance their reading and writing skills thought our weekly lessons.
- Students will be taught how to build their writing skills be learning how to express their thoughts and opinions in an organized and fluent manner.
- Other than these, students will be taught how to manage their time during the examination by thorough practice of Mock examination

In the first year of secondary school, your child will be exposed to a wide range of reading and writing tasks.

Expertise in Content and Language
Students will be introduced to the examinable components at the secondary level and their assessment requirements. These include:
• summary
• literary analysis of unseen poetry and unseen prose
• comprehension
• composition

Students will also be exposed to a new format of editing that requires identifying and correcting common grammatical errors.

Through our comprehension, summary and critical thinking passages, our programme covers a wide range of general knowledge topics and current affairs to help students develop a global perspective. These topics include:

• education and the environment
• global issues and social trends
• arts and the humanities

Schedule: Weekdays (Monday to Friday: 5.30 pm to 8.30 pm)
Saturday and Sunday: 9.30 am to 4 pm.
